Do you respect your elders? I mean….respecting in any sense of the meaning of “elder“. You know elders come in all forms and sizes and not just categorized by age.

I was taught early in life, honor and respect, especially to MY ELDERS. At my ripe old age of (40+) I still say Yes Ma’am and No Sir. I even let them win battles when I KNOW for a fact they are missing it or are wrong. That’s is where honor kicks in, and I keep it moving as if they are really right. These are not battles worth fighting, just simply respect and honor.

It would behoove all of us to revisit this concept of respecting our elders.

More to come….

  1. I appreciate the part where you said you don’t correct elders [my young adult children] *even when you know they are not right*. That correcting, especially the little details that aren’t important, has been my lifelong habit. It is now a struggle to change but I’m working on it.
