A few years ago in Seminary we were instructed to have a SABBATH. A Sabbath is a day of rest and rejuvenation. It’s taken from the book of Genesis and the creation story. On the 7th day God rested.
At the time I was teaching school, in full swing with the girls mentoring program. I wasn’t officially life coaching but I should have been charging because I had so many I did that without the “official” title. I was in seminary. In addition I had begun the mission aspect of Hope and Healing which allowed for some international travel.
Plus I was working at a church. In short “INSANITY” Who does that? Well……… I did.
Fast forward a few years… Well I’ve pretty much kept the same pace but different avenues.
Yesterday we (my husband) and I had an ER visit. As I patiently waited and surveyed the halls, rooms, people I knew I needed to reinstate that assignment to my own life or else that visit would and could easily be me.
Today and every THURSDAY hereafter will be my SABBATH DAY. I will intentionally take time to REST! I will spend the time needed to revitalize myself. I will INTENTIONALLY focus on my emotional, mental and physical well being. IT’S ONLY ONE OF ME and I can’t lead on EMPTY.
Rest, relaxation, rejuvenation, refocus….will render LIFE REWARDS!
I MUST TAKE CARE OF ME!!!
We all must take care of the body God has given us.
My Sabbath Agenda

I’m taking a SABBATH!
If God could create the world and man and take a day of rest surely I can.
After the rest… Gewanda’s Eyes will have fine tuned their vision!
